Local Attractions

  • Rheidol Riding Centre 

    • Ajoined to the caravan park, enjoy the beauty of the Rheidol Valley on horseback. Catering for all ages and abilities.​

  • Bwlch Nant Yr Arian 

    • A 6 mile drive away from the best views of the Cambrian Mountains whether that be on foot or mountain bike. The spectacular red kite feeding is a must.​

​

  • Vale of Rheidol Steam Train 

    • Opening way back in the 1900's, what better way to see the valley than from the carriage of a steam train! With a station a 5 minute walk away, ride the train up to Devils Bridge admiring the stunning views and walk back taking in the scenery at a slower pace.

  • Silver Mountain 

    • A place where history, myth and legend collide in a fantastic day out for the whole family.​

​

  • National Library of Wales

    • The biggest library in Wales, holding over 6.5 million books and periodicals, and the largest collections of archives, portraits, maps and photographic images in Wales.

  • Cliff Railway

    • Ride up the 778 foot railway from the waves to the top of Constitution Hill for a stunning view of the bay and town.​

  • Aberystwyth Castle

    • Visit the ruins of a 13th century seaside castle ​

    • Visit the ospreys of the Dyfi Valley and take a look at the work they are doing for the Dyfi Osprey Project​

  • Mach Loop - Low Level Jet Training

    • The Mach Loop is a series of valleys in west-central Wales, notable for their use as low-level training areas for fast jet aircraft and propeller-driven aircraft.​

Beaches

  • Aberystwyth 

    • Plenty of choice between North beach and South beach. Both are dog friendly but please check the dates. 

  • Clarach 

  • Borth and Ynys Las

    • 10 miles from the caravan park, a big beach with plenty of space for riding and walking. ​

Cycling

  • The caravan park is located right on a bridleway which riders, bikers and walkers are able to use. With a vast array of routes throughout West Wales. 

  • Bwlch Nant Yr Arian is a quick 6 mile cycle away. Here you will find off road mountain tracks for all ages and abilities.

Fishing

  • River Rheidol; renowned for the 16 mile fishing banks. From the sea to Devil's Bridge. One of Wales' premier Sewin (Sea Trout) and Salmon fisheries. A walk away from your caravan at Rheidol. Contact Iola Evans for more information.
